I’ve got a bad knee. Like, a really bad knee. As a result, I’ve spent the best part of the last four weeks indoors on my derrière. I have watched all four seasons of House of Cards and I’ve spent hours (and I mean hours) filling and emptying my ASOS shopping basket. When I have left my house, it has been to hobble to work and hobble home again. Poor me! Poor, poor me!
But not one to feel sorry for myself (much), I decided I needed to get out and do something fun. And as luck would have it, I happened upon something rather brilliant: a floating restaurant, bar and beauty parlour. Oh yes!
That’s right; those lovely folk at Benefit have created a pampering parlour like no other. Step aboard this three-deck boat and get ready for some fabulous fun, darling. There’s a restaurant (Lashitude on the Upper Deck), a Benefit boutique and brow bar, a 1960s-style secret vault for perfecting your skin and a Hoola Deck with seriously good cocktails. And if that’s not enough, there’s a BOB pop-up store where you can buy Dawn O’Porter’s ready-to-wear collection as well as vintage pieces personally sourced by the queen of retro herself.
So if you fancy getting your brows done (apparently the big ones are STILL around), or you want to go somewhere different for lunch, get on board. And if you’re driving, can I have a lift? Even a wonky knee won’t get me a seat on the tube…
